Logical Choices

Does a worker using manual labor sound like a good golfer?  How about a teacher.  A teacher can enjoy the summer off and practice every year.  But the worker sometimes uses heavy tools every day, and it helps build strength with the arms for a swing.

The teacher has the best mindset for golf.  Always nice, and plays by the rules.  The worker, plays a lot of golf, and scores like a good golfer.  Now, the teacher isn’t as strong as the worker and more quiet than the teacher, but plays every day.  He scores well, but not as well for how much time is spent on the course.  The worker has the best time, the teacher learns the most, but the golfer puts up a lower score.  So, which is the better swing, though? The worker?  The teacher or the golfer?

The worker is the best raw talent swing, and the teacher is the “nicest swing.”  And the golfer is the best mechanical swing.  We often learn that mechanics aren’t always the best.  So, what is the morale of the story?

Well, when it comes to learning about careers, the person who spends the most time working and studying in their particular field is usually the better professional.  So, the golfer.  In our careers, we should find a path that is specifically designed for our specialty.  Making the best of our ability for our profession.  It’s awesome to see someone great at two things, because it exists.  However, we typically suggest at normal to pick someone who is taught the profession. That is the best option.
